ISO 22000 standard is a global standard for Food Safety Management System (FSMS), Designed to enable organisations to control food safety hazards along the food chain, is applicable to all types of organizations irrespective of size, nature or geography of all Food Chain from farm to feed, primary producers, food manufacturers, transport & storage operators and industry such as producers of equipment, packaging, cleaning agents, additives, ingredients and related to food.
Food safety measures can be introduced at any stage of the process and with the joint efforts of government, retailers, producers and end consumers. Food safety is the requirement of any Organization who all is dealing in the food chain; it is based on the continuous improvement in the process. ISO 22000:2018 Certification replaces ISO 22000:2005.
